Phu Quoc and a connected travel ecosystem

Phu Quoc was the focus of Sun Group’s presence, as the island prepares to host APEC 2027. Its combination of resorts, entertainment and conference facilities allows organizers to pair business events with leisure programs. Infrastructure, accommodation and conference projects developed for APEC are expected to retain long-term value, strengthening the island’s capacity to host international meetings.

Sun Group also presented a chain of services spanning aviation, accommodation, resorts and entertainment, enabling travel companies to design programs for families, couples and corporate groups. Sun PhuQuoc Airways serves as the transport link bringing visitors to Vietnam, while representatives of hotels in the group’s portfolio in Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Quang Ninh and Hanoi held partnership talks at the booth.

Visit Vietnam’s international debut with Visa

Visa partnered with Sun Group to showcase Visit Vietnam at ITB Asia 2026. Part of the national digital tourism ecosystem, Visit Vietnam is developed and operated by Sun Group and uses artificial intelligence to bring destination information, products and services into one app. Its Travel Feed suggests destinations, dining and activities based on each user’s activity in the app. Its AI Trip Planner lets travelers build personalized itineraries through natural-language conversation and book services within the same chat.

Visit Vietnam is expected to hold its official launch in Phu Quoc in late 2026, with South Korea as its priority international market in the initial phase.

Janice Yeo, Vice President of Consumer Solutions at Visa Asia Pacific, said combining Sun Group’s travel ecosystem with Visa’s payment, technology and data capabilities could help attract international visitors, and that Visit Vietnam has the potential to give them a seamless digital journey from inspiration to payment.
